The new spot serves breakfast and dinner daily and was built with locals in mind as much as resort guests. The seafood program draws on a partnership with Destin Ice Seafood Market along with local fishermen and day boats, and the tap wall runs Florida independent craft beer, including 30A Beach Blonde and East Pass IPA. The bar's Old Fashioned menu includes a house Sea Oats Sazerac you will not find poured anywhere else.

That is a short bridge, a new kitchen, and a reason to treat Okaloosa Island as part of your regular loop rather than a special-occasion drive.

For the nights you do not feel like the water

Not every evening needs a view. On May 4, 2026, Jason Nieves and Melissa Caban opened The GAB Spot at 913 North Beale Parkway, a family entertainment venue built around bowling, arcade games, axe throwing, and a 200-plus-seat dining room with a sports-focused layout. It sits inland, off the water entirely, which makes it the answer for the nights when the humidity wins and you would rather be indoors with air conditioning and a scoreboard.

The takeaway is not that HarborWalk Village is somewhere to avoid. It is a good venue with a real lineup, and Homeroom on the Harbor this Saturday is worth the trip if you have kids heading back to school.
